google chrome

This is my first ever (and probably last ever) post using Google's new web browser: Chrome.

I've only had it installed for a few minutes, and so far I like it better than internet explorer. I guess that's not really saying much. Google tends to make things i find useful. Google tends to make things that win me over quickly. Google also scares me.

At any rate, my main complaint is that I am now seeing ads. In Firefox, there is a plugin known as AdBlock Plus which really makes browsing a whole lot different. I've grown accustomed to that different. Also, my mouse scroll isn't working properly. I can scroll down, but have to use the keyboard to scroll up a page.

On the other hand, it does have some neat things. It allows you to resize certain text boxes. Apparently each tab is it's own process? that's cool except they are all chrome.exe, so good luck on figuring out which one to kill if that is ever the case. bleh. anyway, it definitely feels fast and makes good use of the screen. It has a lot of potential. I may have to reinstall it someday, but for now, i'll stick to firefox 3.
